Learn about blogging from a variety of experts — including yours truly — when you sign up for BHB Mentoring's 8-week blogging course. Plus, get 20% off when you use a coupon code (MIRANDA20) offered to my readers.
For the last year or so, I've been working with BHB Mentoring to help beginner bloggers get started. I provide (hopefully helpful) guidance and insight in return for that warm fuzzy feeling you get when you help people.
Now, BHB Mentoring is taking things to another level. The organization is offering a special 8-week blogging course designed to help beginners get started. Each week of the course is taught by a different expert blogger.
The course begins on February 4, 2014 and runs for 8 weeks. Classes meet every Tuesday for about an hour at 9 p.m. Eastern. I'm teaching the class on freelancing, which is the fourth class on the agenda. All of the other classes are also taught by expert bloggers who have had success in their various fields.
It should be a great course for the aspiring blogger.
The regular cost for the course is $100, but readers of this blog can save 20% off that price by using the code MIRANDA20. This code is good until January 31, 2014. You get the 8-week course for $80. That's only $10 per one-hour class. When you consider that I pay $10 for my son's half-hour piano lesson each week, this is a pretty good deal.
Also, I'm not being paid for this. Just as with the BHB Mentoring program, warm fuzzies are my payment. Unless you sign up for the blogging course through my link. Then I get a commission. But I'd do this regardless, because I think this course is a valuable resource. It's sort of like how I bought the Only72 Be Everywhere bundle that I was flogging back in the summer. I ended up not converting anyone (made zero sales; I suck at affiliate marketing), but, since I bought the bundle myself, I ended up with great value and some helpful resources. Hopefully, the people who sign up for the blogging course end up with solid value and learn something they can use to improve their blogs.
I know most of the other bloggers presenting classes, and they are solid people who know what they are talking about. $100 (or $80, if you sign up using code MIRANDA20) is small price to pay for useful knowledge that will likely help you get a solid start in the world of professional blogging.
