It's true that a presidential election is way sexier than local legislative races. However, most of what goes on that's really going to affect your daily life takes place at the state level. And too many people don't care, and don't pay attention.
I'm a big believer in getting involved in local politics. I'm going to have to go out and give it a go again, since my brief stint with the Utah Dems was cut short by the small detail of suddenly moving across the country. However, I'm already getting a feel for the local political scene, and I expect that I'll be moving forward with something related to local politics once I have my feet under me.
